"I see angels"

Guns are drawn, the alarm claxon is blaring.  People lay dead and are dying all around.  The mood is tense beyond all discription.  Everyone knows that they are going to die that day, most likely very soon.  There is no way out.  A child held at gun point, and like human nature, all are willing to sacrifice everything to save the child.  The devil holds her, and will not let go.

"I see angels.  Angels in this very room.  Now I maybe mad, but that doesn't mean that I'm not right.  Because there's another Force at work here.  There always has been.  It's undeniable, we've all experienced it.  Everyone in this room has witnessed events that they cannot fathom let alone explain away by rational means.  Puzzles, deciphered in prophecy.  Dreams given to  a chosen few.  Our loved ones... dead!  Risen...whether we want to call that God, or Gods, or some sublime inspiration, or a divine force that we can't understand.  It doesn't matter, Doesn't Matter.  It's here.. it exists!  And our two destinies are intwined in it's force."

Cavil:  "If that were true, and that's a Big if!  How do I know if this force has our best interests in mind?  How do you know that God is on your side, doctor?"

Gaius:  "I don't.  God's not on Any One Side.  God's a force of nature.  Beyond Good and Evil.  Good and Evil we created those.  Want to break the cycle.  Break the cycle of Birth, Death, Re-Birth, Destruction, Escape, Death!  That's in our hands...and our hands only.  Requires a leap of faith.  Requires that we live in hope, not fear."

That is one of the best analogies of faith and god that I've ever come across.

I am a old school BSG junky that has had some issues with the new re-invented series.  I write realistic sci-fi and am currently working on other Battlestar projects.  So I'm semi-biased.  But, some of the story line has come through very loudly to me.  I have not agreed in a lot of direction that David Eick and Ronald Moore have put out on my long time beloved affair.  But Daybreaks 1-3 were in some ways very old school Battlestar Galactica and have deep meaning for me.  This scene was very emotional for me, I will hold it deep in my heart.

Do you want to break the cycle?

Don't tell me you are working on current series projects? If you are, I have to bown down and call you god, (with a small "g" of course). Seriously, how much can you tell us? Are you working on the original BSG stuff, or the current?
